This is something you don’t see every day: the PANERAI Luminor Lab-ID Carbotech is a watch loaded with technology. In addition to its case made of carbon alloy, it doesn’t stop there: most of the caliber parts are also made of carbon, it uses virtually no rubies (only four in the entire caliber), no lubricating oils, so it has no need for service guaranteed by PANERAI for 50 years. There is even high-tech in the dial, coated with carbon nanotubes that give it a deep black by not reflecting light. Presented at the SIHH in 2017 in a limited edition of 50 pieces, it is impressively comfortable and light, even the 49 mm case.
